We are pleased to announce that everyone who supports our campaign at the $50 level or higher will be getting automatic membership in The Mutual. Membership gives you unlimited access to perks from local businesses.
We’ve come a long way since Neighbourhoodies was established in DUMBO back in 2002. What started as a way for New Yorkers to represent their neighborhood is now a global phenomenon. Today we sell our custom-designed and Brooklyn-made apparel to customers all over the world.
To celebrate our 10th Anniversary, and give back to the community that helped us get here, we are releasing a brand new line of bespoke cashmere hoodies made right here in Brooklyn. And we’re offering single mothers in our community an opportunity to get involved.
We hope you will support us as we continue to build our community-based business.
A COMMUNITY ECONOMIC STIMULUS PLAN
Our all-new collection of hoodies will be made from super-soft, ultra-comfortable and high-quality cashmere blend. Each will have all the details you want in a premium hoodie; triple-stitched seams sewn with high tensile strength thread, reinforced pocket, inside stash pocket and thumbholes.
And at a time when employment opportunities are few and far between, Neighborhoodies will offer single mothers in our community the opportunity to get involved. We will be manufacturing the new collection right here in Brooklyn, in partnership with a factory that trains and employs single mothers. Proceeds from sales will be reinvested in job training and continued employment.

The Mutual is a Brooklyn based start-up that rewards people for donating to charity by offering them perks from local businesses. We were so excited by the work they were doing that we immediately signed up to become a perk partner. We’ve been hard at work designing the new line, but before we can start sewing we need to buy fabric. $7,500 is the minimum amount of money we need to get production going but we’ll have capacity to do way more if we get your support.
We’ve chosen to work with SmallKnot because of its commitment to local and homegrown businesses like ours.
