Thank you and Good News!

Thank you so much for your pledge to support Galapagos get back on its feet. It really means a lot to the entire CreativeMornings team!

The folks of Smallknot have been pulling some strings and made it possible that all pledges so far can be deposited into our account early next week so we can pass along the money to Robert Elmes. (Normally we would have to wait until the end of the campaign) So, please don't be surprised if you see a charge for your pledge in the coming days and not only in 2 weeks!

Also, not only is Smallknot waving their usual cut, they also got their payment processor to waive their fees! That means Galapagos will actually be receiving 100% of the funds raised.

Again, thank you for your support. We hope that Robert will be able to host many upcoming CreativeMornings at his wonderful space.

Let's Help Galapagos Art Space!

Galapagos Art Space is a thriving cultural hub in DUMBO, Brooklyn. It got devastated by the hurricane Sandy. The space is flooded with 5' of water.

Robert Elmes, the owner of Galapagos Art Space is an incredibly generous soul, and has hosted years of CreativeMornings and other events, at no cost. Let's help him get back on his feet!

CreativeMornings is running this campaign on Robert's behalf and we will pass all funds on to him to help with the damages.

Galapagos Art Space is a 9,000 sq ft Obie Award winning cultural venue located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, brainchild of Robert Elmes.

It has a stunning 1,600 sq ft lake inside their building, with island seating on the lake, and the lake is surrounded by a beautiful, operatic style mezzanine. It's one of the big cultural hubs in DUMBO and we need to make sure it stays open!

Galapagos does not accept government grants or public funding of any kind. Robert Elmes believes that if the work they present is strong, communicative, and effective, audiences will support them.

Let's help them get back on their feet after the devastation of Sandy!
