LA's brand new sandwich shop, eager to make a splash at Taste of South Lake on Oct. 13!
We’re a brand new shop and we’re eager to introduce ourselves to our community. Our Smallknot campaign will help fund our participation in the upcoming Taste of South Lake event, which is on Saturday, October 13th. We'll use the campaign money to purchase tables, chairs, marketing materials and supplies for the event. This is our big opportunity to launch our business, so your contribution is definitely appreciated.
Float is the story of a girl and a sandwich shop. On a lazy summer day, I called up a friend and said, "Hey, so I think I want to create something special." With that, I ventured out on a mission to find some of the best that the Southland had to offer. I was led to everything from novel interests down to childhood favorites. My heart called for classic, signature sandwiches complimented by vintage soda pop from Galco's, quality coffee from Handsome Roasters and topped with Fosselman's ice cream. While the story of Float may be new, the idea that quality food and drinks can bring a community together is as old as time.
Having grown up in Pasadena, I had quietly dreamed of opening up a shop here and supporting the local community. However, it took a few years of bouncing around the world and working behind a desk to realize it. Now that the bricks are laid, I am more than excited to begin building real relationships with my neighbors and sharing the things I love with the city I love. Float has been built to be a community staple, serve delicious quality food and drinks, all while creating a connected group of neighbors. I hope you'll help make Float the Pasadena meeting place.

You and a guest will get to experience one of our signature sandwiches, our coffee, a scoop of ice cream (by itself of in a float), and a bagel from Brooklyn Bagels. Don't worry, you don't have to eat it all at once, we'll keep track of what you redeem.

We want you to use that creativity of yours and create THE perfect float. Not only that, but you'll get to name it and we'll put it on our menu for a month! We'll also welcome you and five others to come out to Float for sandwiches, and you guessed it.... floats!
