Getting a new fleet of outdoor gear to allow more NYC residents the opportunity of a weekend in the woods

In addition to running trips and manufacturing, we also rent a lot of gear to adventurers all over the city. We are raising funds to buy new fun gear for you to enjoy!

Ice Climbing

When I met Martin, he had just opened an art gallery in Westchester, NY. At the time, both of us were battling very serious adventure addictions.

From mountain biking to scuba diving, we just couldn’t get enough. As avid photographers, both Martin and myself always documented our journeys.

Walking in to the gallery, I noticed a photograph of some of my favorite Himalayan peaks. It turns out we had been trekking the same regions of Nepal just a week apart from each other. Our friendship grew over the next year as we travelled and photographed. Along the way, we thought it would be a good idea to start teaching others how to photograph the natural world as well.

The satisfaction of teaching others was overwhelming. And so Brooklyn Outfitters was born! We put away our framing and printing equipment and dedicated ourselves to sharing adventure with others.

Fast forward two years later and we are running adventures all over the Northeast and manufacturing our very own line of 100% USA made gear. Our overall mission is to connect NYC with the outdoors in any way we can! We promote an active balanced lifestyle. New York can suck you in sometimes, we’re here to take you out!

Our adventures span the entire range of difficulty and happen all over the Northeast. Some of our more popular activities include, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, canoeing, and rock climbing. Everything is included in our adventures so all you have to do is show up!
