Making hand crafted leather camera straps. We're funding our Fall 2012 collection and expanding distribution.
We are Craig Hackey and Melissa Patenaude, owners of A7. We create premium quality leather camera straps which have a unique classic design. Our products are made in the Unites States because we want to help develop our local economy, create jobs, and reduce pollution. We strongly believe in being a socially conscious brand.
A7 started when Craig and I bought our first DSLR cameras. They all come with the standard black and white nylon camera straps. There was no way that we were going to look like everyone else on the street wearing them. So we started looking for camera straps to match our style. To our surprise, we couldn't find anything to fit our needs.
At the same time, we had been running our creative agency Apt No.7 through which we did branding, marketing, and small business consulting. We were ready to start developing our own product. We had just found our perfect project.
Our goal is to create a sustainable brand that is entirely made in the USA and encourage others to do the same. And of course, to have everyone wear a unique looking camera strap. Please, no more stock camera straps! We are raising funds to produce our new Fall 2012 collection, and expand our product distribution.
